LTTE HANDS OVER ANOTHER BATCH OF BODIES TO ICRC
LTTE forces today handed over 74 more bodies of Sri Lankan soldiers to the ICRC in Vanni.
Showing full respects to the fallen soldiers, Mr Karikalan the deputy head of LTTE's
political division transferred their bodies to the ICRC at the Yogapuram school grounds at
about 9 AM. This is the third batch of bodies the Tamil Tigers have painstakingly
collected and handed over to the international organisation after searching the fallen
massive army base in Kilinochchi. The military base together with a 15 Kilometre stretch
of Sri Lankan army complexes extending north from Kilinochchi fell to the LTTE following a
spectacular military operation - code named 'Unceasing waves - II' - to liberate the
historic Tamil territory from the Sinhalese invaders.
